FC Wisconsin Wins Two Conference Championships and Sends Six Teams to ECNL and ECNL Regional League National Playoffs

FC Wisconsin is proud to announce that six of our ECNL and ECNL Regional League teams have qualified for the ECNL National Playoffs this June. Leading the way are our U17 ECNL team, seeded #2 nationally, and our U15 ECNL team, both of whom have secured a spot among the top 64 teams in the country. They will now compete in Seattle, Washington, during the week of June 25 – July 1.

Our ECNL Regional League teams have also had a standout year, with four teamsU13, U15, U17, and U18qualifying for the ECNL Regional League Playoffs – Central, which will take place June 6–10 in St. Charles, Missouri. Notably, our U15 and U18 teams captured regular-season conference titles, highlighting the strength and depth of our program.

The ECNL Midwest Conference is one of the most competitive in the country, featuring elite clubs such as Chicago Magic, FC Pride, Indiana Elite, Minnesota Thunder Academy, St. Croix, Rockford Raptors, and reigning National Champion Eclipse Soccer Club.

“It’s a massive achievement for our U17 ECNL team to enter playoffs ranked 2nd in the nation, especially considering the competition in that age group,” said Co-Director of Coaching, Ben Shepherd. “Our U15s showed incredible character, winning their final six games to clinch a playoff berth on the last day of the season. Our U13s also impressed in their debut ECNL season, narrowly missing playoffs on goal differential. Most importantly, the level of play in the ECNL Midwest Conference continues to rise, which is fantastic for our players’ development. The success of our ECNL Regional League teams speaks volumes about the work of our ECNL RL Director, Neil Tolson, and his staff. These achievements reflect the strength of our long-term player development model and our club-wide commitment to helping players reach their goals.”

In just its second year in the ECNL Regional League, FC Wisconsin has made a significant impact. “To have four teams qualify for regionals is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the dedication of our players, families, and coaches,” said ECNL Regional League Director, Neil Tolson. “We’re proud to represent both FC Wisconsin and the state of Wisconsin on this stage. I’m deeply thankful for the support our club provides, it’s what makes this possible.”

Co-Director of Coaching, Billy Solberg, added, “While all our teams’ success is amazing, I think we’re most proud of the continued culture being set by all these groups. It’s amazing when our younger players hang out at the fields, know all the older players names, give them a high five, and wish them luck every weekend. Our culture, which was already unmatched, has gotten even better. All our teams training and playing games at one facility, creating relationships and mentorships within the age groups, is why we coach. Our teams' and clubs’ success will continue to grow thanks to the examples being set as role models and good citizens from top to bottom in the community. Every one of these teams that qualified for playoffs also did voluntary community service giving back to our community. Successful soccer players and great kids. WE ARE FAMILY!”
