FC Wisconsin Joins ECNL Regional League Midwest

FC Wisconsin is beyond excited to announce it will now offer the ECNL Regional League pathway to all of its second teams. This means our club and its second teams (ECNL Regional League teams) join the likes of Albion Hurricanes, Atlanta Fire, Boston Bolts, Charlotte Independence, Concorde Fire, Dallas Texans, Florida Elite, Houston Dynamo, LAFC, NCFC, Orlando City, Solar SC and so many more already a part of this unique path way.
All our teams U13-U19 will be playing and competing against other Midwest ECNL clubs and their ECNL Regional League teams. The Midwest ECNL Regional League will consist of FC Wisconsin, Chicago Magic, Rockford Raptors, Indiana Elite and FC Pride, in a format that does not add any significant travel to our families. At the older age groups, they will also have the opportunity to play in the ECNL Regional League Showcases held in either Florida or Arizona with hundreds of college coaches on hand recruiting. With the club now having the ECNL, ECNL Regional League, the Midwest Conference (MWC), as well as the WYSA State Leagues, this provides FC Wisconsin players with the most complete player pathway possible for players at all levels to reach their potential and be successful in the game.
“We couldn’t be more excited to offer this platform and pathway to our second teams. Seeing the expansion of the ECNL Regional League platform, the clubs that believe in it, and are “ECNL ALL-IN” says everything you need to know about this pathway. The ECNL Regional League showcases for our older age groups will continue to help us lead the state in offering the best recruiting pathway and best developmental pathway for our second teams. The expansion of not only the ECNL, but the ECNL Regionals clearly shows the best pathway for players and clubs. We are excited and thankful to be a part of it," shares Co-Director of Coaching Ben Shepherd
With the addition of this ECNL Regional League competitive platform, all our second teams will now compete in ECNL Regional League games, while continuing to play in the Midwest Conference (MWC) and State Cup, giving plenty of opportunities to play, be recruited, and have continued success as they grow and improve. All of our ECNL Regional League teams will still have the opportunity to play their high school seasons.
“We are so excited. We take such pride in our training and competitions. We are now at the point where competing and getting results against other clubs first teams are now the norm and we expect this platform to help us continue that, if not better it in years to come. This year we have set a record of having 16 players already commit to playing in college from our Regional Competitive Program. By adding the ECNL Regional League to our player pathway, this will only help us to continue to provide the college exposure needed for all our players within the club,” added ECNL Regional League Director Neil Tolson.
ECNL Boys Regional Leagues are operated and managed so as to ensure a consistent environment and level of professionalism across all leagues, facilitating more club connectivity between levels of play, and providing a path for more players within each member club to reach their fullest potential. Each league allows for coordination and collaboration between the teams of different levels within the ECNL, or opportunity for teams and players in other clubs to develop through regular high-level competition.
