FC Wisconsin is pleased to announce the hiring of current Carroll University Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach Luke Stell who will assist within our U11/12 and RCP Programs for the 2024-2025 season.

 

Stell, a native of Plainfield, Illinois, played collegiately for Trinity International University from 2016-2020. Stell was a standout defender and four-year starter for the Trojans. In 2019, he was honored as the NCCAA North-Central All-Regional Defender and in 2020 was awarded the ‘Timothy Award’ which recognizes the Male Athlete of the Year.

“Luke will be an excellent hire for FC Wisconsin and we are excited about the impact that he will have within our coaching staff. He is a young and ambitious coach who showed a real desire to become part of our staff. Luke has a great deal of enthusiasm and passion for the developing players at all ages, which fits our ethos as a club. His personality will really gel well with our staff and fits with our collaborative coaching model which is so important for the development of our players,” said Co-Director of Coaching Ben Shepherd.

Prior to taking his position at Carroll University, Stell coached club soccer in Illinois with FC United and Chicago Rush. Stell, who is currently coaching at the Croatian Soccer Club, will finish out the 2023-2024 season before becoming part of the FC Wisconsin staff.

I look forward to bringing my talents and experiences to FC Wisconsin, while getting to grow and be challenged by an already exceptional group of coaches. “Adding Luke to our staff is a great addition to the club. We already have an excellent staff, and with eight coaches who have either coached or are currently coaching within the college game, there is over 55 years of college coaching experience within our club. Luke is the perfect fit for our staff and players. We can’t wait for him to get started," added Co-Director of Coaching Billy Solberg.
