FC Wisconsin North Program

OVERVIEW

FC Wisconsin offers players the opportunity and platform to play at the highest levels of national competition within US Club Soccer and USYSA from across the state of Wisconsin.

The FC Wisconsin North Program provides more opportunities and new resources for players within the Green Bay and surrounding area. The FC Wisconsin North Program provides a long-term athlete development-focused environment to help players progress within the game.

FC Wisconsin North Program holds tryouts for both boys ages U11-U19. The Director of Coaching, Marc Baumbach, oversees and manages the program while current University of Wisconnsin – Green Bay Assistant Coach, John O’Reilly, assists and serves as the Technical Director.

FC Wisconsin Directors of Coaching Ben Shepherd and Billy Solberg help oversee the entire program providing coaching support, education and curriculum, and provide college recruiting advice for players and families. “This represents a great opportunity for FC Wisconsin to continue to help in the development of players across Wisconsin,” said FC Wisconsin Co-Director of Coaching Ben Shepherd. “This partnership allow us to impact more players at every age and help with their continued development.”

The FC Wisconsin North teams train and compete in multiple leagues. Players have access to additional training sessions in Germantown (founding location) with multiple coaches to help with their development. The program also includes a College Advising Program to help players and families through the recruiting process as players enter high school.

“The club is unique in multiple ways. Our collaborative coaching model, placing multiple coaches around all players and all teams, is definitely in the best interest of player development. The model allows coaches to pull players aside and give essential details and feedback in daily training sessions. Coaches going the extra mile, caring about each players development and pushing players past their comfort zone is why this club continues to excel and grow. The FC Wisconsin North Program represents continued growth of the FC Family, and we couldn’t be more excited with the group of players and coaches already on board. Together we will continue to change the culture, landscape and player development model in the state for the positive,” shares Co-DOC Billy Solberg.
