Legut Selected to the ECNL National Training Camp in the Bahamas

For immediate release:

Another huge honor for an FC Wisconsin player! This time, Erich Legut of the U17 ECNL team has been selected to the first ever ECNL National Training Camp. Erich is the only male player in Wisconsin selected to this camp and joins fellow FC Family member Santi Davila as the only players in the history of boys soccer in the state of Wisconsin to be selected to such prestigious national id camps.

Erich was selected as one of the top forty players in the ECNL for the U16-19 age groups from across the nation. The 2018 National Training Camp will take place from August 2 – 6, 2018 in Nassau, Bahamas in collaboration with the Bahamas Football Association (BFA). By being selected, all the training, meals, gear, coaching and games are paid in full.

"Erich has grown up through the club and continued to better his game every year since he was a U12 player. Constantly asking questions, working on his game, staying coachable and working his tail off. Such a well-deserved honor for him. He is definitely one of the top players in the country, and for other coaches and clubs to recognize this is really an honor for him. It speaks volumes about the club and how a player that trusted the process gets rewarded,” said Co-DOC Billy Solberg.

"This will be a great experience for Erich and we are thankful to the ECNL for providing these opportunities for elite level players from across the country. Erich’s development is a testament to his willingness to listen, and his commitment to pushing himself to constantly improve. He thoroughly deserves this opportunity and the club could not be prouder,” said Co-DOC Ben Shepherd.
