FC Wisconsin hosted its second annual golf outing/dinner and Auction on May 17th at the PGA Championship Course of Whistling Straights.  The day started with Golfers arriving and having exclusive access to the PGA Championships locker room.  Players and guest got to view all the pro’s lockers including Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Rory McElroy, Ricky Fowler and all the permanent lockers within the exquisite locker room.

 

All golfers then got a free bucket of balls to warm up before hitting one of the top golf courses in the world.

 

The Shotgun start saw some fog to start out the day and clearing as the day went on.  “It was almost surreal the way the day started.  The course itself is unbelievably gorgeous and the fog that started the day just added to the atmosphere.  It felt like we were in a different country.  Really one of the most incredible days, atmosphere and surroundings I’ve ever been around” said Co-DOC Billy Solberg.

 

As the golfers finished their rounds the silent auction kicked off at 5.00pm with various items for the sold out dinner guests to bid on.  The signed Aaron Rodgers helmet along with 6 club level packer tickets to the Monday night game were two of the top items for the bidders.  Also donated were two sold out exclusive Wanamaker tickets to the PGA Championships to be held in August at Whistling Straights. 

 

Those were just a few of the top items to bid on.  So many other items from a leather Harley Jacket, to a Barcelona jersey, to a Stefans FC Wisconsin uniform package, to Adidas gear….and so much more. 

 

The dinner and auction was held in the stunning and cozy confines of the Irish Barn.  The same setting the PGA Golfers will meet the media, and the same venue numerous weddings occur throughout the year.

 

The night ended with CEO, David Kohler and PGA Championship Director Jason Mengel giving the group some history of the course, what goes into putting on the PGA Championships and some question and answers for the group.  Overall, an experience no one will never forget!
