FC Wisconsin Players Receive NSCAA High School Accolades

Leas and Wegner named All-Americans

 

For immediate release 12.8.16:  Four FC Wisconsin players receive National and Regional awards from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

 The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its 2016 National award winners this week with four FC Wisconsin players receiving recognition.

Both Ben Leas and Zak Wegner fresh from playing in the High School All-American All-Star Game in Raleigh, North Carolina received NSCAA All-American Awards. Players on this year’s NSCAA High School All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the NSCAA All-America Luncheon on January 14, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in conjunction with the 2017 NSCAA Convention.

Leas and Wegner are the only players from the State of Wisconsin to earn All-American Honors.

The NSCAA also announced its All-Region Teams, with Bradan Allen, Antonio De Castro, Ben Leas and Zak Wegner all being honored for their High School achievements.
