FC Wisconsin Nationals would like to announce that as of March 1st, Coach Kevin Brennan has accepted a new coaching position with Drake University.

Kevin, was the Head Coach at NAIA, Cardinal Stritch University for both the men and the women.  For FC Wisconsin, Kevin impacted every player in the club from U11 – U18.  “As much as we hate to lose such a great coach, we are extremely happy for Kevin.  Getting an opportunity to coach at a Division I level is big honor.  All of our coaches are sad to see him go but excited for this opportunity for him” said Co-DOC Billy Solberg.

“It was with great excitement that I accepted this position at Drake University but also with a heavy heart as I leave the FC Wisconsin family. I feel very fortunate to have been part of this club and had the chance to work with so many fantastic people. From a player development and coaching development standpoint, FCW is the most progressive environment I have experienced and it is this dynamic that has afforded me the opportunity to move on with my career. Individually I have developed so much here, working alongside great coaches and working with brilliant young players, but I have to make a special mention to DOC’s Billy and Ben who have been amazing mentors and friends to me. I am sad to be leaving the club but I am looking forward to following their success for years to come.”

“Kevin was an integral part of the transition and building of FC Wisconsin.  We will forever be thankful to him in helping build this club back into the top club in the state. Kevin is a great teacher of the game and an excellent role model for players and coaches alike. This is an excellent opportunity for Kevin to take the next step in his career and everyone associated with the club wishes him the best of luck” Said Co-DOC Ben Shepherd.

Part of running a Collaborative Coaching philosophy in the club is for coaches to help each other improve as coaches.  When one of our own is able to reach one of their goals and be recognized for their work as a coach, it’s a tribute to our whole staff.  This is also a tribute to the professionalism, education, and supportive staff working together.

We wish Kevin the best of luck.  He will always be FC Family!

FC Wisconsin Co-DOC’s will look to hire an immediate replacement to continue its Collaborative Coaching Philosophy.  A nationwide search will begin immediately.
