Bennage and Davila Selected to the ECNL National Training Camp in the Bahamas

Another huge honor for two FC Wisconsin players. This time, Vincent Bennage and Santi Davila of the FCW U16 ECNL team have been selected to the ECNL National Training Camp. Bennage and Davila are the only male players in Wisconsin selected to this camp in 2019, and join fellow FC Family member Erich Legut as the only players in the history of boys soccer in the state of Wisconsin to be selected to such a prestigious national id camp. Legut was selected in 2018 to attend the ECNL National Training Camp.

Co-director of Coaching Billy Solberg shares, “This is a well-deserved honor for Bennage and Davila, their team, and our club. These two have made a significant impact in the best developmental league in the country. This recognition by the coaches and the administration of the ECNL is such a massive honor. It was an unforgettable, all expenses paid, experience for Legut last year. These two boys will definitely show well and hold their own among the top players in the country. We're super proud!"

Bennage and Davila were selected as two of the top 40 players from across the nation in the ECNL among the U16 to U19 age groups. The 2019 National Training Camp will take place from July 28 through August 1 in Nassau, Bahamas in collaboration with the Bahamas Football Association (BFA). By being selected, the expenses of training, meals, gear, coaching, and games are all covered by the Boys ECNL.

“This will be a great experience for both boys and we are thankful to the ECNL for providing these opportunities for elite level players from across the country. Bennage and Davila's development is a testament to their willingness to listen, and their commitment to pushing themselves to constantly improve. They thoroughly deserve this opportunity and our club could not be prouder,” added Co-director of Coaching Ben Shepherd.
